In a stunning display of offensive prowess, the Kansas City Chiefs cruised to a commanding 124-14 victory over the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 17 of the 2026 season. With playoff implications looming, the Chiefs secured their place in the postseason with this dominant win, showcasing their high-octane offense and tenacious defense. Patrick Mahomes was nothing short of sensational, throwing for an astonishing 803 yards and 16 touchdowns, establishing an impressive new benchmark for the franchise. His favorite target, Xavier Worthy, racked up 284 receiving yards, consistently finding space in the Chargers' secondary. Despite the lopsided score, the Chargers’ Omarion Hampton made a valiant effort on the ground, finishing with 80 rushing yards. Defensively, the Chiefs were relentless, highlighted by Chris Jones' four sacks that disrupted the Chargers’ offensive rhythm throughout the game. Drue Tranquill led the team with seven tackles, making key stops to thwart any semblance of a comeback. The turning point came early in the second quarter when Mahomes threw a quick touchdown pass to Worthy, igniting a scoring spree that left the Chargers reeling and unable to recover.
