The Detroit Lions cruised to a commanding 37-8 victory over the Chicago Bears in Week 12 of the 2026 season, solidifying their playoff aspirations and showcasing their dominance at home. With this win, the Lions not only improved their standing but also sent a message to the rest of the league about their postseason potential. Jared Goff was the standout performer for Detroit, throwing for 186 yards and two touchdowns, effectively leading the offense. However, it was Jahmyr Gibbs who truly stole the show, racking up 135 rushing yards and adding 90 receiving yards, making him a dual-threat nightmare for the Bears' defense. His versatility was key in keeping Chicago's defensive unit off balance throughout the game. Defensively, the Lions were relentless, with Alim McNeill making his presence felt by registering two tackles and a sack. D.J. Reed's impressive performance, highlighted by two interceptions, shifted the momentum decisively in favor of Detroit. The turning point came late in the first half when Reed's second interception led to a touchdown, effectively sealing the Bears' fate and ensuring the Lions' dominance continued into the second half.
