The Tampa Bay Buccaneers cruised to a dominant 49-14 victory over the Detroit Lions in Week 11 of the 2026 season, solidifying their position in the playoff race. With this win, the Buccaneers showcased their offensive prowess, while the Lions struggled to keep pace throughout the contest. Baker Mayfield was the star of the day, throwing for an impressive 502 yards and tossing seven touchdown passes, marking a standout performance for the quarterback. Ted Hurst III was his top target, racking up 331 receiving yards and proving to be a nightmare for the Lions’ secondary. Meanwhile, Jahmyr Gibbs shined for Detroit, rushing for 168 yards, but his efforts were overshadowed by Tampa Bay's explosive offense. Defensively, Calijah Kancey made his presence felt with three total tackles and a sack, contributing to the pressure that kept the Lions' offense off-balance. The game's turning point came early in the second quarter when Mayfield connected with Hurst for a lengthy touchdown, setting the tone for the rest of the matchup. The Buccaneers' defense complemented their offensive fireworks, ensuring that the Lions had little room to mount a comeback.
