The Houston Texans topped the New York Giants 24-17 in a tightly contested Week 7 matchup that had playoff implications for both teams. With this victory, the Texans improved their positioning in the AFC, showcasing their resilience against a determined Giants squad. C.J. Stroud led the Texans' offense with 240 passing yards and a touchdown, delivering critical completions when it mattered most. Meanwhile, Nico Collins was a standout in the receiving game, racking up an impressive 176 receiving yards, consistently finding ways to exploit the Giants' secondary. On the ground, Demond Claiborne put forth a strong effort for New York, leading all rushers with 96 yards, but it wasn't enough to secure the win. Defensively, the Texans made pivotal plays that ultimately shifted the momentum of the game. Deonte Banks contributed with an interception that halted a promising Giants drive, while Derek Stingley Jr. led the Texans with five total tackles, helping to stifle New York's offensive rhythm. The turning point came late in the fourth quarter when Houston’s defense forced a turnover on downs, sealing the game and allowing the Texans to maintain their lead.
