The Atlanta Falcons topped the Dallas Cowboys 39-23 in a dominant performance during the Wildcard Round of the 2026 season. With their playoff lives on the line, the Falcons executed their game plan flawlessly, outpacing the Cowboys and securing a spot in the next round. Falcons quarterback Joe Milton was the star of the night, throwing for 248 yards and four touchdowns, showcasing his ability to lead under pressure. Milton found standout receiver Zachariah Branch, who racked up 94 receiving yards, establishing a strong connection that kept the Cowboys' defense on their heels throughout the game. Meanwhile, Dak Prescott led the Cowboys' ground game with 56 rushing yards, but it wasn't enough to keep pace with Atlanta's offensive firepower. The Falcons' defense played a pivotal role in the victory, highlighted by Jessie Bates III's two interceptions that stifled any momentum Dallas attempted to build. Avieon Terrell also contributed significantly with five total tackles, consistently disrupting the Cowboys' offensive flow. The turning point came in the third quarter when Bates' second interception swung the momentum firmly in Atlanta's favor, allowing them to extend their lead and ultimately seal the win.
