In a decisive Week 17 matchup, the Jacksonville Jaguars topped the Washington Commanders with a commanding 38-7 victory. This win not only solidifies the Jaguars’ playoff positioning but also sends a clear message to the rest of the league about their offensive capabilities heading into the postseason. Leading the charge for Jacksonville was quarterback Dak Prescott, who threw for 263 yards and four touchdowns, showcasing his ability to find the end zone and spread the ball effectively. Marvin Mims Jr. was his favorite target, racking up 74 receiving yards, while Tony Pollard contributed a solid ground game with 63 rushing yards. The Jaguars’ offense was firing on all cylinders, making it nearly impossible for the Commanders to keep pace. On the defensive side, the Jaguars were not as dominant in terms of individual statistics but still managed to disrupt Washington's rhythm, with Jaelan Phillips contributing a half-sack. The turning point came early in the second quarter when Prescott connected for his third touchdown, putting the Jaguars up 21-0 and effectively sealing the fate of the Commanders. Washington struggled to respond, and the Jaguars capitalized on their mistakes, leading to a lopsided final score.
