In a commanding performance, the Minnesota Vikings topped the Buffalo Bills 52-21 in Week 9 of the 2026 season. With playoff positioning on the line, the Vikings showcased their dominance, particularly on the offensive side of the ball, sending a clear message to the rest of the league. Baker Mayfield was nothing short of spectacular, throwing for 415 yards and five touchdowns, while also adding 54 rushing yards to his impressive stat line. Darius Slayton was his favorite target, racking up 135 receiving yards and providing the Vikings with crucial big plays throughout the game. The combination of Mayfield's arm and Slayton's speed proved too much for the Bills' defense to handle. Defensively, the Vikings made key stops that shifted momentum in their favor, particularly with Isaiah McDuffie's interception that halted a potential scoring drive for Buffalo. While Byron Murphy Jr. led the Bills with five total tackles, the Vikings' pressure, highlighted by D.J. Wonnum's sack, kept the Bills' offense off balance. This game turned decisively in the second quarter when the Vikings scored three unanswered touchdowns, establishing a lead that proved insurmountable for Buffalo.
