In a dominant performance, the Green Bay Packers topped the Detroit Lions 55-28 in Week 7 of the 2026 season, solidifying their position as a contender in the NFC. The game was crucial for both teams as they jockey for playoff positioning, but the Packers showcased their offensive prowess to secure a convincing win. Malik Willis shone as the star of the game, throwing for an impressive 408 yards and five touchdowns, leading the Packers' aerial assault. His favorite target, Luke Musgrave, was a standout in the receiving game, racking up 175 yards and finding the end zone twice. With this offensive explosion, the Packers made a statement that they are a force to be reckoned with this season. Defensively, the Packers also made their mark, with Will Anderson Jr. recording a sack and Mansoor Delane coming away with an interception. While the Lions struggled to establish a ground game, with D'Andre Swift only managing 25 rushing yards, the Packers’ defense stifled any momentum Detroit tried to build. The game turned decisively in the second quarter when Willis connected on two quick touchdowns, putting the Lions in a hole they could not climb out of.
