In a commanding performance, the Detroit Lions toppled the Carolina Panthers with a final score of 50-24 in Week 4 of the 2026 season. With both teams eager to establish momentum early in the year, the Lions showcased their offensive prowess and solidified their standing in the league. Quarterback Jalen Milroe led the Panthers with a strong passing game, racking up 257 yards and throwing three touchdowns. However, it was D'Andre Swift who made his mark on the ground for the Lions, contributing 53 rushing yards to a well-rounded offensive attack. Eli Stowers also shined for Carolina, accumulating 99 receiving yards, but it wasn't enough to keep pace with Detroit's scoring barrage. Defensively, the Lions made critical plays that shifted the momentum of the game. Aidan Hutchinson recorded a sack, while Devon Witherspoon made a significant impact with two interceptions, disrupting the Panthers' rhythm. The turning point came when Witherspoon's second pick set up a quick score for Detroit, allowing them to pull away and ultimately secure the victory.
