In a decisive Week 17 matchup, the Washington Commanders topped the Jacksonville Jaguars 38-17, solidifying their position as a playoff contender. With the stakes high as the season neared its conclusion, the Commanders delivered a dominant performance that showcased their offensive prowess. Quarterback Jayden Daniels was the standout performer for Washington, throwing for 258 yards and two touchdowns, effectively guiding the Commanders’ offense throughout the game. Alongside him, Stefon Diggs contributed significantly with 74 receiving yards, helping to stretch the field and keep the Jaguars' defense on its heels. Although the Jaguars' Bhayshul Tuten rushed for 99 yards, it wasn't enough to keep pace with Washington’s scoring. Defensively, the Commanders were relentless, with Mike Sainristil leading the charge with seven total tackles. Odafe Oweh made his presence felt with 1.5 sacks, disrupting Jacksonville’s offensive rhythm and applying pressure on their quarterback. The turning point came in the second quarter when a crucial stop by the Washington defense allowed them to seize momentum, ultimately leading to a commanding lead that the Jaguars could not overcome.
