In a thrilling Week 16 matchup, the Denver Broncos held off the Buffalo Bills with a final score of 28-21, securing a critical win as the playoff picture tightens in the 2026 season. Both teams showed up with playoff implications on the line, but it was the Broncos who came out on top in a hard-fought battle. Bo Nix led the charge for Denver, throwing for three touchdowns while connecting with Jaylen Waddle for a stunning 143 yards through the air. On the other side, Josh Allen put up impressive numbers, racking up 259 passing yards and keeping the Bills competitive, but he could not overcome the Broncos' offensive firepower. James Cook III also contributed significantly for Buffalo with 71 rushing yards, but it wasn’t enough to clinch the victory. Defensively, the Broncos made their mark with Jahdae Barron’s standout performance, tallying seven total tackles and picking off two passes, which proved crucial in disrupting Buffalo's rhythm. Jonathon Cooper added to the pressure with 1.5 sacks, helping to keep Allen on his toes throughout the game. The turning point came late in the fourth quarter when Barron’s second interception thwarted a potential game-tying drive, sealing the victory for Denver.
