In a decisive matchup, the Pittsburgh Steelers topped the New England Patriots with a final score of 27-13, marking a strong start to their 2026 season. The win not only boosts the Steelers' confidence but also sets the tone for their ambitions in the competitive AFC landscape. Leading the charge for Pittsburgh was quarterback Drew Allar, who threw for 196 yards and two touchdowns, showcasing his ability to connect with his receivers under pressure. Eli Heidenreich had a standout performance, contributing both on the ground with 120 rushing yards and through the air with 89 receiving yards, proving to be a dual threat that the Patriots struggled to contain. Defensively, Jalen Ramsey made a significant impact with an interception that shifted momentum in favor of the Steelers. While the Patriots' Kevin Byard III led his team with four tackles, it was Pittsburgh's ability to create turnovers and stifle New England's offensive rhythm that ultimately determined the game’s outcome. The turning point came in the second quarter when Ramsey's interception set up a crucial touchdown, allowing the Steelers to establish a lead they would not relinquish.
