In a tightly contested Week 17 matchup, the Green Bay Packers hold off the Houston Texans with a final score of 22-16. With playoff implications on the line, the Packers secured a crucial victory to solidify their postseason positioning. Brett Favre showcased his veteran prowess, throwing for 362 yards and a touchdown, leading the Packers' offense effectively. Donald Driver was a standout target, racking up 150 receiving yards, while Christopher Taylor led the Texans on the ground with 79 rushing yards. Despite a strong offensive showing from Favre and Driver, the Packers had to rely on their defense to maintain their lead. The Green Bay defense played a pivotal role in the outcome, with Al Harris leading the way with 11 total tackles. TyRon Warren of the Texans put pressure on Favre with two sacks, but it was a key interception late in the game that turned the tide in favor of the Packers. This defensive stand not only stifled the Texans' momentum but also allowed Green Bay to clinch the victory, setting the stage for a promising playoff run.
