The Tampa Bay Buccaneers topped the Atlanta Falcons 28-20 in a tightly contested Week 16 matchup that had playoff implications for both teams. With the victory, the Buccaneers solidified their position in the postseason race, while the Falcons saw their hopes of a late surge dimmed. Michael Vick led the way for the Falcons, throwing for 205 yards and two touchdowns, showcasing his dual-threat capabilities. Jerious Norwood added a solid ground game with 76 rushing yards, while Ashley Lelie was a standout target, racking up 101 receiving yards and keeping Atlanta's offense competitive throughout the game. Defensively, the Buccaneers made key plays when it mattered most, with Will Allen snagging an interception that shifted momentum in the second half. The turning point came late in the third quarter when Allen's pick set up a touchdown drive that put Tampa Bay ahead for good. Despite a strong defensive effort from the Falcons, including nine tackles from Patrick Kerney and a sack from John Abraham, it wasn't enough to overcome the Buccaneers' offensive firepower.
