In a tightly contested matchup, the Detroit Lions topped the Minnesota Vikings 17-11 in Week 15 of the 2026 season. The victory was crucial for the Lions as they aim to solidify their playoff position in a competitive NFC landscape. Brad Johnson led the charge for the Vikings with a solid performance, throwing for 230 yards and a touchdown. However, it was Mike Williams of the Lions who stole the show, racking up 91 receiving yards, providing a reliable target for his quarterback. Meanwhile, Chester Taylor contributed with 64 rushing yards, but it wasn’t enough to secure a win for Minnesota. Defensively, Shaun Rogers was a standout for the Lions, recording 1.5 sacks that put pressure on Johnson throughout the game. The turning point came late in the fourth quarter when Rogers’ relentless effort led to a crucial turnover, allowing the Lions to maintain their lead and ultimately seal the victory. Darren Sharper was busy for the Vikings, tallying 8 tackles, but it was the Lions' defensive plays that made the difference in this hard-fought battle.
