In a nail-biter that showcased grit and determination, the Carolina Panthers narrowly defeated the Minnesota Vikings 13-12 in Week 13 of the 2026 season. With both teams vying for a crucial victory to solidify their playoff hopes, the game delivered drama and intensity until the final whistle. Minnesota's Tarvaris Jackson put on a dazzling performance, throwing for an impressive 411 yards, a feat not often seen in a losing effort. He was supported by Chester Taylor, who amassed a staggering 301 receiving yards, making him a constant threat downfield. Despite their offensive fireworks, the Vikings struggled to find the end zone, ultimately falling short in the scoring department. Defensively, the Vikings were aggressive, with Erasmus James leading the charge by recording 2.5 sacks, disrupting the Panthers' offensive rhythm. Antoine Winfield also made his presence felt with four tackles, but it was Rashad Baker's interception that could have turned the tide. However, the Panthers' defense held firm at key moments, allowing them to escape with the narrow win that keeps their playoff aspirations alive.
