In a dominating performance, the San Francisco 49ers defeated the Atlanta Falcons 31-0 in Week 7 of the 2026 season. The stakes were high as both teams aimed to solidify their playoff positioning, but it was the 49ers who left no doubt with their commanding victory. Quarterback Alex Smith led the charge for San Francisco, throwing for 234 yards and contributing to the offensive onslaught, while Antonio Bryant emerged as a favorite target, racking up 92 receiving yards. The 49ers’ balanced attack kept the Falcons' defense on its heels, as they consistently moved the ball downfield and capitalized on scoring opportunities. Defensively, the 49ers were relentless, highlighted by Shawntae Spencer's pivotal interception that halted any momentum the Falcons might have hoped for. The Falcons struggled to find their rhythm, with only Jerious Norwood managing a respectable 66 rushing yards. The turning point came early in the second half when San Francisco scored back-to-back touchdowns, effectively sealing the game and leaving Atlanta unable to respond.
