The Chicago Bears topped the Atlanta Falcons 23-6 in a decisive Week 6 matchup of the 2026 season, solidifying their position in the playoff race. This victory not only boosts the Bears' confidence but also puts pressure on the Falcons as they look to regroup in the coming weeks. Leading the charge for the Bears was quarterback Rex Grossman, who threw for 211 yards and a touchdown, showcasing his efficiency and poise under pressure. Wide receiver Mark Bradley was also a standout, racking up 70 receiving yards and providing a crucial target for Grossman throughout the game. Despite a solid performance from Jerious Norwood, who led the Falcons with 56 rushing yards, Atlanta struggled to find the end zone. Defensively, the Bears made their mark with Ricky Manning's crucial interception, which shifted momentum and stymied any potential scoring drives from Atlanta. The turning point came in the second quarter when the Bears' defense held strong, forcing the Falcons to settle for field goals instead of touchdowns. With John Abraham's 1.5 sacks, the Falcons' offense was consistently pressured, contributing to their inability to mount a successful comeback.
