In a commanding performance, the Indianapolis Colts topped the Washington Commanders 42-17 in Week 4 of the 2026 season. This victory keeps the Colts firmly in the playoff conversation, while the Commanders struggle to find their rhythm as the season progresses. Peyton Manning led the charge for the Colts, throwing for 217 yards and two touchdowns, effectively orchestrating the offense. LaDainian Tomlinson also shined on the ground, racking up 105 rushing yards, while Reggie Wayne contributed with 64 receiving yards. This offensive firepower helped the Colts build a substantial lead early. The Colts' defense, while not dominant, made key stops when needed, highlighted by Gary Brackett's half-sack that disrupted Washington's rhythm. Despite the efforts of Sean Taylor, who tallied seven tackles for the Commanders, the game shifted decisively in the Colts' favor after a series of unanswered touchdowns in the first half. The Commanders couldn't recover, as the Colts maintained control throughout the second half.
