In a thrilling Divisional Round showdown, the Indianapolis Colts outlasted the Houston Texans with a final score of 35-28, securing their place in the next round of the playoffs. The stakes were high, as both teams fought for a coveted spot in the AFC Championship, but it was the Colts who emerged victorious on their home turf. David Carr displayed impressive form for the Texans, throwing for 300 yards and two touchdowns, while Andre Johnson put together a stellar performance with 151 receiving yards. However, it was LaDainian Tomlinson who stole the show for Indianapolis, racking up 154 rushing yards and proving to be a game-changer in the backfield, helping the Colts maintain their lead throughout the contest. Defensively, the Texans struggled to contain the Colts' offensive onslaught, with Phillip Buchanon leading the team in tackles with five. The turning point came late in the fourth quarter when the Colts' defense held strong, forcing a critical turnover that ultimately sealed the game. Despite strong efforts from Houston's Mario Williams and Demarcus Faggins, who each contributed with a sack and two interceptions respectively, it was not enough to change the outcome.
