The New Orleans Saints topped the New York Giants 24-14 in a crucial Week 6 matchup, solidifying their position in the playoff race. Both teams came in looking to gain momentum, but it was the Saints who emerged victorious, showcasing their resilience on the road. Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart led the aerial attack with 247 passing yards and two touchdowns, connecting frequently with standout receiver Darnell Mooney, who racked up 120 receiving yards. However, the Saints countered with a balanced offense, highlighted by Travis Etienne Jr.'s ground game, despite his modest 42 yards. New Orleans effectively moved the chains when it counted, putting points on the board and maintaining control of the game. Defensively, the Saints made key plays that shifted the momentum, particularly with Jonas Sanker snagging an interception that halted a promising Giants drive. Jordan Howden led the Saints with six tackles, helping to stifle New York's attempts to find a rhythm. The game's turning point came late in the second quarter when Sanker’s interception allowed New Orleans to extend their lead, ultimately securing the victory and keeping their playoff hopes alive.
