In a decisive Week 5 matchup, the Denver Broncos topped the Los Angeles Chargers with a final score of 38-23, solidifying their position in the playoff race. With both teams vying for crucial AFC standings, the Broncos delivered a statement performance on the road, leveraging their offensive firepower to control the game. Bo Nix led the charge for Denver, throwing for four touchdowns and showcasing his ability to stretch the field. RJ Harvey contributed significantly on the ground, racking up 80 rushing yards, while the Broncos' receivers made crucial plays to keep the chains moving. On the other side, Justin Herbert put up impressive numbers with 294 passing yards, but the Chargers struggled to find the end zone consistently. Defensively, the Broncos were anchored by Zack Baun, who recorded nine total tackles, helping to stifle the Chargers' offensive rhythm. The game turned in the second quarter when Denver's defense forced a key turnover, allowing the Broncos to capitalize and extend their lead. Although Khalil Mack and Donte Jackson made their presence felt for Los Angeles, it wasn't enough to overcome Denver's balanced attack and solid defensive effort.
