The Cleveland Browns held off the New York Jets in a tightly contested matchup, securing a 24-21 victory in Week 5 of the 2026 season. With playoff aspirations on the line, both teams fought hard, but it was the Browns who emerged victorious in this crucial showdown. Cleveland's offense was led by quarterback Taylen Green, who threw for 213 yards, connecting effectively with Isaiah Bond for 77 receiving yards. On the ground, the Jets' Breece Hall put forth a valiant effort, racking up 165 rushing yards, but it wasn't enough to tip the scales in New York's favor. Green's precision passing and the Browns' balanced attack proved pivotal in maintaining their lead. Defensively, the Browns made key plays that shifted momentum. Carson Schwesinger recorded two sacks, applying constant pressure on the Jets' quarterback, while Toriano Pride Jr. intercepted a crucial pass, stunting a potential game-tying drive. The turning point came late in the fourth quarter when the Browns' defense stifled the Jets in the red zone, allowing Cleveland to walk away with the win.
