In a commanding performance, the Jacksonville Jaguars defeated the Denver Broncos 35-20 in Week 2 of the 2026 season. This victory solidifies the Jaguars' early momentum as they look to establish themselves as a playoff contender, while the Broncos will need to regroup and address their defensive shortcomings moving forward. Offensively, Bo Nix led the Broncos with a solid outing, throwing for 265 yards and two touchdowns, showcasing his arm strength and decision-making. However, it was Ameer Abdullah's consistent ground game that helped the Jaguars maintain control, as he rushed for 56 yards. The receiving corps was highlighted by Marvin Harrison Jr., who racked up 91 yards, providing Nix with a reliable target amid the Jaguars' relentless defense. Defensively, the Jaguars made their mark with a standout performance from Albert Regis, who recorded 2.5 sacks, disrupting Nix's rhythm and causing significant pressure throughout the game. This defensive dominance proved pivotal, particularly in the second half when the Jaguars contained the Broncos' attempts to mount a comeback, effectively sealing the game. The combination of Jacksonville’s offensive efficiency and defensive prowess ultimately dictated the outcome, allowing them to secure a decisive victory on the road.
