In a stunning display of dominance, the Denver Broncos cruised past the Kansas City Chiefs with a final score of 45-7 in their Week 1 matchup of the 2026 season. With both teams eager to make a statement early in the season, the Broncos proved they are contenders with a commanding performance. RJ Harvey stole the show on the ground, racking up an impressive 254 rushing yards and scoring multiple touchdowns to lead Denver’s explosive offense. While Patrick Mahomes threw for just 96 yards, the Broncos’ well-rounded attack kept the Chiefs' defense on its heels, showcasing their ability to control the game tempo and capitalize on opportunities. On the defensive side, Riley Moss was a standout for Denver, securing two interceptions and contributing three total tackles, helping to stifle any momentum the Chiefs attempted to build. The turning point came early in the second quarter when Moss's second interception set up another Broncos touchdown, effectively putting the game out of reach and signaling a long day for Kansas City.
