In a strong start to the 2026 season, the Tennessee Titans topped the New York Jets with a final score of 27-17. This Week 1 matchup set the tone for both teams, as the Titans aimed to establish their dominance early in the year while the Jets sought to build momentum on the road. Leading the charge for Tennessee was quarterback Cam Ward, who threw for 252 yards and one touchdown, showcasing his ability to connect with his receivers under pressure. The ground game was bolstered by Nick Singleton, who added 67 rushing yards, contributing to a balanced offensive attack. For the Jets, Kenyon Sadiq stood out with 74 receiving yards, trying to keep his team competitive throughout the game. Defensively, the Jets struggled to contain the Titans' offensive rhythm, although VJ Payne made his presence felt with eight total tackles. The turning point came in the second half when a key interception by the Titans shifted momentum firmly in their favor, allowing them to maintain control and ultimately secure the win. Jowon Briggs also made an impact with a sack, but it wasn’t enough to change the course of the game.
