In a commanding performance to kick off the 2026 season, the Dallas Cowboys topped the New York Giants with a final score of 35-15. This Week 1 matchup set the tone for both teams, as Dallas looks to establish dominance in the NFC East while the Giants seek to find their footing after a challenging offseason. Dak Prescott was in midseason form, throwing for 288 yards and three touchdowns, showcasing his ability to command the field. The run game was anchored by Javonte Williams, who racked up 97 rushing yards, while CeeDee Lamb emerged as Prescott's favorite target, accumulating 107 receiving yards. Together, they fueled the Cowboys' offensive onslaught that kept the Giants' defense on their heels. Defensively, the Cowboys made crucial plays that swung momentum in their favor, with Rashan Gary registering a sack and Dee Winters snagging an interception. The turning point came late in the second quarter when Winters' interception halted a Giants drive, allowing Dallas to extend their lead before halftime. The Giants struggled to recover from that setback, as the Cowboys' defense maintained pressure throughout the game, contributing to their decisive victory.
