In a tightly contested battle, the Chicago Bears held off the Minnesota Vikings, securing a 20-16 victory in Week 2 of the 2026 season. Both teams aimed to establish momentum early in the season, but it was the Bears who emerged triumphant on their home turf. Caleb Williams shone brightly for Chicago, throwing for 229 yards and two touchdowns, showcasing his ability to command the offense effectively. Luther Burden III was his top target, racking up 101 receiving yards and making key catches that kept the chains moving. On the ground, the Vikings’ Demond Claiborne made his mark with 64 rushing yards, but it wasn't enough to tip the scales in Minnesota’s favor. Defensively, the game was punctuated by critical plays that shifted momentum. Jaylon Johnson’s interception proved to be a turning point, halting a potential scoring drive from the Vikings and allowing the Bears to maintain their lead. Isaiah Rodgers Sr. led the Vikings defense with nine total tackles, but despite their efforts, Chicago's defense managed to hold firm when it mattered most, sealing the victory.
