In a decisive Week 18 matchup, the Dallas Cowboys overwhelmed the Washington Commanders with a commanding 42-7 victory, solidifying their playoff positioning and sending a clear message to their rivals. With the stakes high as both teams looked to conclude the season on a strong note, the Cowboys showcased their dominance from start to finish. Dak Prescott led the charge for Dallas, throwing for 174 yards and three touchdowns while orchestrating a potent offensive attack. Javonte Williams provided a powerful ground game, racking up 99 rushing yards, and George Pickens contributed significantly with 71 receiving yards, making big plays when it mattered most. This offensive display allowed the Cowboys to control the tempo and put the game out of reach early. Defensively, the Cowboys made critical plays that shifted momentum, including an interception from Shavon Revel Jr., which halted any potential scoring from Washington. Despite the lack of standout performances from the Commanders' defense, Leo Chenal's eight tackles highlighted their efforts to contain Dallas. However, the game’s turning point came when the Cowboys scored consecutive touchdowns in the second quarter, effectively sealing the fate of the Commanders and ensuring a dominant end to their regular season.
