The Houston Texans topped the Green Bay Packers 36-24 in a pivotal Week 17 showdown, solidifying their playoff positioning as the regular season comes to a close. With both teams looking to make a statement, the Texans proved they have what it takes to compete in the postseason, while the Packers struggled to find their rhythm. Offensively, C.J. Stroud led the Texans with a steady performance, throwing for one touchdown while also benefiting from Woody Marks' impressive 107 rushing yards. On the other side, Jordan Love showcased his passing abilities, racking up an impressive 380 yards and connecting with Tucker Kraft for 184 receiving yards, but it wasn’t enough to secure the win. Defensively, the Texans were able to create crucial turnovers, highlighted by Reed Blankenship’s interception that shifted momentum in their favor. Houston's defense, led by Derek Stingley Jr.’s 12 total tackles, kept the pressure on Green Bay throughout the game, contributing significantly to their victory. The turning point came late in the third quarter when Blankenship's pick helped the Texans extend their lead and ultimately sealed the game.
