In a thrilling Week 16 matchup, the San Francisco 49ers outlasted the Kansas City Chiefs with a final score of 38-30, solidifying their playoff aspirations as the season nears its conclusion. Both teams entered the game with high stakes, but it was the 49ers who emerged victorious, showcasing their offensive prowess. Brock Purdy led the charge for San Francisco, throwing for 3 touchdowns and keeping the chains moving with precision passing. Meanwhile, Christian McCaffrey was a key target, racking up 120 receiving yards to complement the aerial attack. On the ground, Kenneth Walker put forth a strong effort for the Chiefs, amassing 156 rushing yards, but it ultimately wasn't enough to secure a win. Defensively, the 49ers’ Marques Sigle made a crucial impact with an interception that shifted momentum late in the game. Despite strong performances from the Chiefs' Chris Jones, who recorded two sacks, the defense couldn't contain the 49ers' scoring bursts when it mattered most. The turning point came in the fourth quarter when San Francisco capitalized on their defensive stand, allowing them to maintain their lead and seal the victory.
