The Pittsburgh Steelers secured a decisive 35-20 victory over the Denver Broncos in Week 12 of the 2026 season, solidifying their playoff aspirations. This matchup was crucial for both teams as they jockey for positioning in the competitive AFC landscape. Bo Nix led the charge for Denver, throwing for 213 yards and two touchdowns, showcasing his ability to move the ball through the air. However, it was Pittsburgh's James Cook III who stole the show on the ground, racking up 111 rushing yards. Pat Freiermuth also made a significant impact in the passing game, leading all receivers with 106 yards, providing Nix’s offense with a steady target despite the loss. Defensively, the Steelers were relentless, with Jalen Ramsey making a game-changing impact by snagging two interceptions, shifting momentum away from Denver. Daylen Everette's five total tackles helped contain the Broncos' offensive efforts, while Brandon Jones's two sacks were notable but ultimately insufficient to turn the tide. Pittsburgh’s defense effectively stifled any comeback attempts, making this game a testament to their balanced offensive and defensive performance.
