In a commanding performance, the Dallas Cowboys defeated the Washington Commanders 44-10 in Week 2 of the 2026 season. The Cowboys showcased their offensive prowess, asserting themselves as a formidable contender early in the season and leaving the Commanders struggling to keep pace. Dak Prescott was the star of the show, throwing for 394 yards and three touchdowns, demonstrating pinpoint accuracy and great decision-making throughout the game. George Pickens emerged as his favorite target, racking up 150 receiving yards and consistently finding ways to break free from defenders. Javonte Williams contributed on the ground with 65 rushing yards, adding balance to the explosive aerial attack. Defensively, the Cowboys were relentless, with Malachi Lawrence leading the charge with 1.5 sacks, putting pressure on the Commanders' offense and forcing them into uncomfortable situations. The turning point came early in the second half when the Cowboys' defense stifled a potential scoring drive, allowing Dallas to capitalize and extend their lead decisively. As the game progressed, it became clear that the Cowboys’ defensive pressure was too much for Washington to handle, securing a dominant victory.
