The Green Bay Packers opened the 2026 season with a commanding 28-11 victory over the Minnesota Vikings. With both teams eager to set the tone for the year, the Packers swiftly established themselves as a force to be reckoned with in the NFC North. Quarterback Jordan Love led the offensive charge for Green Bay, throwing for 133 yards and a touchdown, while wide receiver Jayden Reed contributed significantly with 60 receiving yards. On the ground, the Vikings' Kyler Murray showcased his speed and agility, rushing for an impressive 163 yards, but it wasn't enough to spark a comeback. Defensively, the Packers were formidable, with Brandon Cisse leading the team with four total tackles. Micah Parsons added to the pressure with a crucial sack, while the Minnesota defense managed to snag an interception from James Pierre. The turning point came in the second half, when the Packers' defense stifled the Vikings' attempts to gain momentum, allowing Green Bay to maintain control of the game and secure the win.
