The Los Angeles Rams kicked off the 2026 season with a commanding 33-14 victory over the San Francisco 49ers. With both teams eager to set the tone for the year, the Rams showcased their offensive firepower and solidified their standing as a formidable contender in the NFC West. Matthew Stafford was the star of the night, throwing for 287 yards and four touchdowns, making it clear he is ready to lead his team this season. Kyren Williams contributed significantly on the ground, racking up 85 rushing yards, while Davante Adams was a reliable target, amassing 88 receiving yards. The Rams’ offense displayed a balanced attack that kept the 49ers' defense on its heels throughout the game. Defensively, Myles Garrett was a force, registering two sacks that disrupted the 49ers' offensive rhythm. The turning point came early in the second half when Garrett's pressure led to an interception that shifted momentum firmly in favor of the Rams. While Ji'Ayir Brown of the 49ers tallied nine tackles, it wasn't enough to stem the tide of the Rams' offensive onslaught, ultimately sealing the game for Los Angeles.
