In a commanding performance, the Chicago Bears topped the Dallas Cowboys 44-21 in the Wildcard Round of the 2026 season. The victory secured the Bears a spot in the next round of the playoffs, as they showcased their dominance on both sides of the ball. Caleb Williams led the Bears' offense with an impressive 222 passing yards, while D'Andre Swift took over the ground game, racking up 190 rushing yards. Zavion Thomas emerged as a key target in the aerial attack, amassing 135 receiving yards and proving to be a reliable option for Williams. Meanwhile, Dak Prescott of the Cowboys threw for two touchdowns but struggled to keep pace with Chicago's explosive offense. Defensively, the Bears were relentless, with Melvin Smith Jr. making his presence felt with three total tackles and an interception that shifted momentum in favor of Chicago. Preston Smith added to the pressure with two sacks, making it difficult for Prescott to find his rhythm. The turning point in the game came when Smith's interception set up a quick touchdown drive, extending the Bears' lead and leaving the Cowboys with too much ground to cover.
