In a stunning Wildcard Round matchup, the Denver Broncos topped the Kansas City Chiefs with a decisive 52-17 victory, showcasing their dominance on both sides of the ball. With the stakes high for advancement in the 2026 postseason, the Broncos delivered a performance that left no doubt about their intentions for a deep playoff run. Bo Nix was the standout star for Denver, throwing for an impressive 414 yards and a staggering seven touchdowns, completely dismantling the Chiefs' secondary. Marvin Mims Jr. also had a remarkable game, racking up 121 receiving yards and contributing significantly to the Broncos' explosive offense. Despite Kenneth Walker's strong showing for Kansas City with 120 rushing yards, the Chiefs couldn't keep pace with Denver's relentless scoring. On the defensive side, the Broncos applied consistent pressure, highlighted by Nik Bonitto's sack and Pat Surtain II's four total tackles. The turning point came in the second quarter, when a critical interception by Dane Belton of Kansas City could not stem the tide, as Denver continued to capitalize on their offensive opportunities and put the game out of reach. The Broncos' defense, while not heavily featured in standout stats, played a key role in limiting the Chiefs and sealing the victory.
