The Pittsburgh Steelers narrowly defeated the Carolina Panthers 15-13 in a tightly contested Week 16 matchup, solidifying their playoff positioning as the season winds down. Both teams faced high stakes, with the Panthers looking to stay in the hunt for a postseason berth while the Steelers aimed to secure their playoff spot. Sam Darnold led the Steelers' offense with a strong performance, throwing for 239 yards and connecting effectively with Michael Pittman, who racked up 76 receiving yards. The Steelers' scoring was fueled by timely plays and a balanced attack, while Chuba Hubbard's efforts for the Panthers were limited to just 37 rushing yards, unable to break through a sturdy Pittsburgh defense. Defensively, the Steelers made their presence known with T.J. Watt recording 1.5 sacks and Jalen Ramsey snagging an interception that proved crucial. The turning point came late in the fourth quarter when Ramsey's pick allowed Pittsburgh to maintain their lead, thwarting a last-ditch effort by the Panthers and sealing the victory for the Steelers.
