In a thrilling Week 15 matchup, the Kansas City Chiefs narrowly defeated the New England Patriots 34-31, solidifying their playoff position as the season winds down. With both teams vying for crucial late-season victories, the stakes were high, and the Chiefs rose to the occasion in front of a home crowd. Patrick Mahomes was the star of the show for Kansas City, throwing for an impressive 372 yards and two touchdowns. Rashee Rice emerged as his favorite target, racking up 149 receiving yards that continually stretched the Patriots' defense. On the ground, TreVeyon Henderson led the Patriots with 102 rushing yards, but it wasn't enough to secure a win against the explosive Kansas City offense. Defensively, the Patriots struggled to contain Mahomes, who orchestrated key drives throughout the game. A pivotal moment came in the fourth quarter when the Chiefs' defense made a critical stop, allowing Mahomes to engineer a game-winning drive. Despite Carlton Davis III's three tackles and Milton Williams' sack, the Patriots could not generate enough pressure to disrupt Mahomes' rhythm, sealing their fate in a closely contested battle.
