In a high-scoring affair, the New Orleans Saints topped the Arizona Cardinals 57-45 in Week 2 of the 2027 season. The victory keeps the Saints in the hunt for a strong start, showcasing their explosive offense against a resilient Cardinals team. Tyler Shough had a standout performance for the Saints, throwing for an impressive 402 yards and tossing six touchdown passes, leading the charge on offense. Trey Palmer was his favorite target, racking up 162 receiving yards, while Jeremiyah Love of the Cardinals put on a show of his own with 186 rushing yards, keeping the game competitive. Defensively, the Saints made crucial plays to secure the win, with Carl Granderson contributing two sacks that stifled the Cardinals’ momentum at key moments. Despite Cole Wisniewski's two interceptions for Arizona, it was Granderson's pressure that turned the tide, making it difficult for the Cardinals to mount a comeback in the second half. The game’s turning point came late in the third quarter when the Saints' defense held strong, allowing them to maintain their lead and ultimately seal the game.
