The Pittsburgh Steelers narrowly defeated the New Orleans Saints 19-13 in a tightly contested Week 7 matchup of the 2026 season. With both teams vying for playoff positioning, the victory keeps the Steelers in the hunt for a postseason berth, while the Saints will need to regroup as they face a challenging schedule ahead. Aaron Rodgers led the Steelers' offense with two touchdown passes, showcasing his veteran poise throughout the game. Tyler Shough of the Saints put up impressive numbers with 303 passing yards, but it was the combination of Rodgers' efficiency and Rico Dowdle's solid ground game, where he rushed for 51 yards, that ultimately propelled Pittsburgh to victory. Chris Olave was a standout for New Orleans, pulling in 140 receiving yards, but it wasn't enough to change the outcome. Defensively, the Steelers made critical plays that swung momentum in their favor. Alex Highsmith recorded two sacks, continually pressuring Shough and disrupting New Orleans' rhythm, while Daylen Everette’s interception sealed the game late in the fourth quarter. The turning point came when Highsmith's relentless pursuit forced a third-and-long situation, leading to Everette's game-clinching pick, which secured Pittsburgh's hard-fought win.
