In a crucial Week 14 matchup, the Los Angeles Chargers topped the Las Vegas Raiders 34-19, solidifying their playoff positioning as the regular season nears its conclusion. Both teams entered the game vying for momentum, but it was the Chargers who emerged victorious, showcasing their offensive prowess. Justin Herbert led the charge for Los Angeles with a stellar performance, throwing for three touchdowns and 250 yards. Ladd McConkey was his favorite target, racking up 112 receiving yards, while the Chargers' ground game was effective enough to keep the Raiders' defense on its heels. For Las Vegas, Fernando Mendoza put up decent numbers with 276 passing yards, but it wasn't enough to keep pace with the Chargers. Defensively, the Chargers made key plays that shifted the momentum in their favor. Daiyan Henley stood out with 12 total tackles, helping to limit the Raiders' scoring opportunities. The turning point came when Derwin James Jr. intercepted Mendoza in the third quarter, thwarting a potential Raiders drive and allowing the Chargers to extend their lead.
