In a gritty Week 9 matchup, the Miami Dolphins topped the Detroit Lions with a final score of 19-7, solidifying their playoff positioning as the season heads into its second half. The Dolphins' defense proved to be a formidable barrier, while the Lions struggled to find their rhythm on offense throughout the game. Jared Goff led the Lions' offense, throwing for 166 yards and a touchdown, with Amon-Ra St. Brown being his primary target, racking up 109 receiving yards. However, it was Jaylen Wright who shined for the Dolphins, showcasing his skills with 121 rushing yards, helping to control the clock and extend drives for Miami. Defensively, the Dolphins were dominant, with Kenny Moore II standing out by recording an impressive three interceptions and four total tackles, shifting the momentum in Miami's favor. The turning point came in the second half when Moore's third pick halted a promising Lions drive, allowing Miami to capitalize and extend their lead, ultimately securing the victory.
