In a commanding performance, the Indianapolis Colts defeated the Houston Texans 35-3 in Week 3 of the 2026 season. This decisive victory not only elevates the Colts' standing but also sends a clear message to the league about their potential as contenders this year. Jonathan Taylor was the star of the show, racking up an impressive 232 rushing yards and finding the end zone multiple times. C.J. Stroud of the Texans fought hard, completing 173 passing yards, while Brevin Jordan caught for 113 yards, but their efforts fell short against a relentless Colts offense. Defensively, the Colts were formidable, with Sauce Gardner leading the team with four total tackles. Grover Stewart added pressure with a crucial sack, and Amare Barno made a game-changing impact by intercepting two passes, which helped to stifle any hope the Texans had of mounting a comeback. The turning point came in the second quarter when Barno's first interception led directly to a Colts touchdown, putting them firmly in control for the remainder of the game.
