In a tightly contested matchup, the Arizona Cardinals narrowly defeated the Washington Commanders 17-10 in Week 12 of the 2026 season. The win keeps Arizona's playoff hopes alive, while Washington struggles to find consistency as the season nears its conclusion. Arizona's Joe Milton delivered a standout performance, throwing for 293 yards and connecting for one touchdown, showcasing his ability to lead the offense effectively. His favorite target, Michael Wilson, had a stellar game as well, racking up 102 receiving yards and creating key plays when it mattered most. On the other side, Jacory Croskey-Merritt led the Commanders' ground attack with 63 rushing yards, but it wasn't enough to spark a comeback. Defensively, the Cardinals made crucial stops, highlighted by Jack Gibbens' sack that disrupted Washington's rhythm. The turning point came late in the second half when Arizona's defense stifled a promising drive from the Commanders, forcing a turnover on downs and allowing the Cardinals to maintain their lead. Leo Chenal's impressive 10 tackles for Washington showed their determination, but ultimately, it was Arizona's defensive resilience that secured the victory.
