In a dominant performance, the Pittsburgh Steelers topped the New England Patriots 31-7 in the Wildcard Round of the 2026 season. The stakes were high, with both teams vying for a spot in the next round, but it was the Steelers who emerged victorious, showcasing their offensive firepower and defensive prowess. Steelers quarterback Drew Allar had a standout game, throwing for 308 yards and three touchdowns, leading his team with precision and poise. DK Metcalf was a key target, racking up 127 receiving yards and consistently stretching the Patriots' defense. On the ground, Pittsburgh's attack was balanced, while TreVeyon Henderson of New England struggled to find his footing with just 60 rushing yards. Defensively, the Steelers were relentless, highlighted by Jalen Ramsey's crucial interception that shifted momentum in their favor. T.J. Watt anchored the defense with two total tackles, ensuring that the Patriots were unable to establish any rhythm. The turning point came early in the second half when Ramsey's pick set up a quick touchdown, putting the Steelers firmly in control and effectively sealing the game.
