In a commanding performance, the New England Patriots topped the Los Angeles Chargers 41-21 in Week 12 of the 2026 season. With playoff aspirations on the line, the Patriots solidified their position in the race with this decisive victory. Joe Milton was the star of the show, throwing for an impressive 395 yards and three touchdowns, leading New England's explosive offense. Xavier Worthy was his favorite target, racking up a staggering 230 receiving yards, proving to be a nightmare for the Chargers' secondary. Meanwhile, Kyren Williams led the Chargers' ground game with 82 rushing yards but struggled to keep pace with the Patriots' aerial attack. Defensively, the Patriots made key plays at crucial moments, highlighted by Jaden Hicks’ two interceptions that shifted momentum in their favor. While the Chargers’ Jack Campbell contributed with a sack and Javon Bullard led the team in tackles, the inability to contain Milton and Worthy proved detrimental. The turning point came late in the second quarter when Hicks picked off a pass, setting up a touchdown that extended New England's lead and ultimately sealed the game.
