The Pittsburgh Steelers narrowly defeated the New Orleans Saints 21-17 in a tightly contested Week 7 matchup of the 2026 season. Both teams entered the game with playoff aspirations, making this victory crucial for the Steelers as they look to solidify their standing in the playoff race. Christian McCaffrey was the standout performer for Pittsburgh, rushing for an impressive 144 yards, while the Saints’ Caleb Williams threw for 252 yards and two touchdowns, showcasing his ability to move the ball through the air. Cole Kmet also shined for New Orleans with 106 receiving yards, but it wasn't enough to secure the win. Defensively, the Steelers made a significant impact, with Sonny Styles leading the way with six total tackles and two interceptions, including a critical pick that shifted the momentum late in the game. Despite James Pearce Jr.'s two sacks for New Orleans, it was Styles' defensive prowess that ultimately sealed the victory for Pittsburgh, demonstrating the importance of defensive plays in high-stakes moments.
