In a decisive matchup, the New England Patriots topped the New York Jets 31-6 in Week 6 of the 2026 season. The victory solidifies the Patriots' position in the playoff race while the Jets continue to struggle to find their footing this season. Patriots quarterback Joe Milton led the charge with an impressive performance, throwing for 296 yards and two touchdowns. His favorite target, Xavier Worthy, racked up 158 receiving yards, consistently making big plays to keep drives alive. Meanwhile, Bijan Robinson's standout game for the Jets included a remarkable 172 rushing yards, but it wasn't enough to generate any offensive momentum. On the defensive side, the Patriots capitalized on the Jets' mistakes, with Byron Young leading the team in tackles, contributing to a solid overall effort. The game turned decisively in the second quarter when the Patriots scored two unanswered touchdowns, effectively putting the game out of reach. Despite a late interception by Quinyon Mitchell for New York, the Jets' defense couldn't contain the Patriots’ offensive onslaught.
