In a decisive Week 6 matchup, the Jacksonville Jaguars topped the Houston Texans with a final score of 38-17. This victory keeps the Jaguars firmly in the playoff conversation as they continue to build momentum in the 2026 season. Quarterback Jayden Daniels was the standout performer, throwing for an impressive 312 yards and four touchdowns, showcasing his ability to command the offense effectively. Bhayshul Tuten contributed on the ground with 69 rushing yards, providing a balanced attack that kept the Texans' defense on its heels. Defensively, the Jaguars made key plays that shifted the momentum of the game, particularly Shavon Revel Jr.'s interception, which halted a Texans drive and allowed Jacksonville to extend their lead. While the Texans' Joey Porter led the game with eight total tackles, it was the Jaguars' ability to pressure and disrupt the rhythm of Houston's offense that ultimately determined the outcome. The turning point came late in the second quarter when Daniels connected for a touchdown that put the Jaguars ahead by two scores, setting the tone for the remainder of the game.
